Donald Harrison Jr. (born June 23, 1960) [1] is an African-American jazz saxophonist and the Big Chief of The Congo Square Nation Afro-New Orleans Cultural Group from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Berklee College of Music in 2021.
The genres include post-bop, reggae, second-line, bossa nova, blues, trap hip-hop, smooth/soul, tropical/salsa, and a version that purports Harrison's signature nouveau swing style that merges the other eight genres into a seamless acoustic jazz tapestry.
