Botanic Gardens is a public garden in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Occupying 28 acres (110,000 m 2) of south Belfast, the gardens are popular with office workers, students and tourists. They are located on Stranmillis Road in Queen's Quarter, with Queen's University nearby.

Home to a Rose Garden, exotic plant collections and two landmark buildings (the Palm House and the Tropical Ravine House) a visit here is one of the best things to do in Belfast.
Situated near Queens University Belfast, the Botanic Gardens is an important part of Belfast’s Victorian heritage and a popular meeting place for residents, students and tourists. Charles McKimm came to the Royal Botanic Gardens in 1874, and was eventually appointed as Head Gardener.

Belfast Botanic Gardens provides a beautiful green space in a nice part of the city. If you're a lover of (or just interested in) tropical plants and especially succulents, the Palm House is a must-see, but the rest of the gardens are lovely, too, very well-maintained and clean.

These gardens are a green oasis in the city. Located next to the University and a 20 minute walk from the city centre, or else easily accessible as a stop on the touristy Red Bus Tour (recommended and reviewed separately). Highlights are the Palm House, the Tropical Ravine and the rose garden.
