The second season of Dance Moms premiered January 10, 2012 on Lifetime and concluded on September 25, 2012.
•This marks the first season to feature the Vertes and Ackerman families.
•Multiple episodes from this season were retitled:
•Episode 5 "Brooke's Back" was originally titled "Burn, Pom Poms, Burn!"
•Episode 6 was first titled "The Dance Detectives" but was later broadcast as "Wardrobe Malfunction". It was later retitled to "Jill on the Rampage".
•Episode 7 "Bullets and Ballet" was originally titled "Flash Dance Moms"
•Episode 9 "Topless Showgirls" was retitled to "Costume Drama" following controversy surronding the concept of the group dance. The episode was later removed from the series.
