Washington had 1,936,946 confirmed cases and a total of 15,815 confirmed deaths as of March 15, 2023.  Public health experts agree that the true number of cases in the state is much greater than the number that have been confirmed by laboratory tests.

Inslee was swift to enact protective measures that have since resulted in one of the lowest per capita death rates in the nation.
