The screen is the largest in MLS and the second largest of its kind in North America – behind only the one at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The largest side is 68ft x 38ft, the same area as 450 42” flat screen TVs.
An all-new BC Place reopened in September 2011 after completing a major revitalization that included the installation of the largest cable-supported retractable roof of its kind in the world. BC Place has a seating capacity of 54,500. Today, BC Place is home to Vancouver Whitecaps FC, the BC Lions Football Club and the BC Sports Hall of Fame.
Accessing BC Place from the Stadium/Chinatown Skytrain: Upon exiting the Skytrain, walk up the stairs to Beatty Street and turn left. Gate A, B and H are approximately a five minute walk up Beatty Street. Alternatively, upon exiting the Skytrain head down the stairs to Expo Boulevard and the Stadium is a five minute walk to the right.
BC Place is an open-air stadium whether the roof is open or closed. Guests are encouraged to dress accordingly, based on the temperature outdoors. BOX OFFICE HOURS.
