The park is adjacent to the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge and seven major paved bike trails link the park with the surrounding suburbs and cities.
• Rent a canoe or kayak from the park office and paddle Snelling Lake. • The park has a track chair which can be reserved at the Visitor Center by calling 612-279-3559. • Walk the trail from the visitor center to Historic Fort Snelling, a site managed by the Minnesota Historical Society.
