Balian of Ibelin (French; c. 1143 – 1193) was an important French noble in the crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem in the 12th century. I am very much aware that so many knights were harsh to say the least. Not just towards their enemies (which I could get behind) but also towards innocent people such as peasants on the losing side. I don't want to get into them further as it's beaten to death. What I want to focus on is a particular knight, Balian of Ibelin.
