George Chandler is an American actor, who was born in Wakigan, Illinois, on June 30, 1898, and died in Panorama City, California, on June 10, 1985, from complications of cancer.
Treasurer of the Guild from 1948 through November 1959, Chandler was the first Guild president whose long film and television career consisted almost exclusively of supporting roles and bits: reporters, delivery men, taxi drivers.
