The Trustees of the Kilby International Awards announce with deep sadness the passing on June 20, 2005 of Nobel Laureate, Jack St. Clair Kilby, the namesake of the Awards. Friends and admirers created these Awards in 1990 as a living tribute to Mr. Kilby and his seminal invention of the Chip, the monolithic integrated circuit.
