Googling tells me I should sign in to Hotmail with my old e-mail address and password, but I cannot find an option in Outlook to do that. As of 8/30/2019, if the account was used in the previous 2 years, it will be automatically deleted as per the terms of the Microsoft Services Agreement (prior to 8/30/2019 - account not used in the previous 5 years would be automatically permanently deleted.
