In 2007 he has resurfaced as the lead in two horror films. (He also had a supporting role in Nicolas Cage's comic book adaptation of Ghost Rider.)
Perfect Witness plot "It took a mob to run the city -- and one man to put them away." So when a criminal kills another criminal, he is a perfect witness. However, he fears for his life if he testifies and must choose between justice and his own safety. He chooses the former, and the police try to protect his family.

Witness comes billed as a thriller, but it's so much more than a thriller that I wish they hadn't even used the word "murder" in the ads. This is, first of all, an electrifying and poignant love story. Then it is a movie about the choices we make in life and the choices that other people make for us. Only then is it a thriller - one that Alfred Hitchcock would have been proud to make.
