Marillion always was a very successful live band because Marillion looked better lives, especially with Fish on vocals. The successful set list of the almost two hours of performance makes up for it, because whoever buys a live album shouldn't count on the intended perfection of the studio.

We are attempting to reconstruct a recording history that began over 40 years ago, in the summer of 1979, with the arrival of guitarist Steve Rothery at Doug Irvine and Mick Pointer's band house in Long Marston.

Marillion formed in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England in 1979. Recording consistently since 1982, their output is generally regarded as comprising two distinct eras, that of original vocalist Fish who helmed the band at arguably their most popular (critically and commercially), and his replacement, former Europeans member Steve Hogarth, who joined the band after Fish's departure in 1989.
After the band Christmas holiday, it’s now time to start rehearsals for the first Marillion weekend in PZ in ten weeks time! It’s going to be very exciting to return to the unique atmosphere of PZ and we have a great set list that I think people will really love!
