The song “ Cavatina ” by Stanley Myers, was originally composed for piano, but was later re-written for guitar by the same author, on the suggestion of John Williams, who recorded it before the film “ The Deer Hunter ” in 1978. Thanks to that movie the song of Williams hit the charts and became one of the best-known classical guitar songs.
