Gilbert judges are appointed by the Gilbert Town Council to serve a two-year or four-year term. All Arizona judges must follow the Rules of the Arizona Supreme Court, the Canons of Judicial Ethics, the Arizona Revised Statutes and corresponding case law interpreting those statutes, and both the United States and Arizona Constitutions, among other legal requirements.
