MVC3 's combo system is pretty fun and open-ended, and Capcom seems to have done a decent job with character balance (especially after the patches). However, from a design standpoint, I feel the roster isn't as compelling or well-rounded as it could be. For example, there's no "Guile-type" / charge character.
