Four public information computer terminals are available to search property record and tax information, two in the auditor’s office, one in the treasurer’s office and one in the recorder’s office, all on the second floor of the courthouse. Information is also available on-line, www.ottawacountyauditor.org.

GIS mapping is used extensively in Ottawa County. It is used in parcel mapping, subdivision plat mapping, Board of Elections voter locating, E-911 location-based response services (LBRS), CAUV soil calculations, road and bridge data collection, water and sewer data collection, and a myriad of other uses.

Real Estate Transfers. Transfer and identification documents track the transfer of parcels and maintain the Auditor’s parcel numbering system for tax purposes. Under Ohio Law, all real estate transfer-related documents must be presented to the County Auditor before recording.
Ottawa County Property Search. There are eight search criteria available - Search by Owner Name, Search by Location Address, Search by Parcel Number, Search by GIS PIN, Search by Legal Description, Search by Sec/Twp/Rng, Search by Intersection, and Search by Neighborhood.
