Rage In Peace is a tender relic and ritualistic sculptural object in itself, each vinyl disc a sonic coffin to house the cremated remains of Prince Rama in the form of an ash record.
After 10 years as a band, Prince Rama have decided it is time to say goodbye, and in epic fashion, by ritualistically burning all the band’s belongings and putting the ashes into their limited-edition 7″, Rage In Peace.
Prince Rama (previously Prince Rama of Ayodhya) was a two-piece "now age" psych - dance band based in Brooklyn, New York, founded by sisters Taraka Larson and Nimai Larson.
One could see these preceding albums as premonitory preparation for this final release, Rage In Peace, where the band has to come face-to-face with its own mortality on a much more intimate, personal level.
