Nov 13, 2019 · Timothy Eaton was born in Ireland in March of 1834 to two Scottish Protestant parents. When he was 20, he was working as an apprentice shopkeeper and made the decision to come to Canada to settle in southern Ontario with family. His first business was a bakery at St. Mary’s, which folded a few months later in 1861.
