Apr 15, 2024 · Great Britain’s Phil Clapp has become the first person to go under 1 minute 10 seconds over 500 meters on the Concept2 RowErg. His time of 1 minute 9.8 seconds set the new world record and saw him peaking at around 1350 watts.
Philip John Clapp (born March 11, 1971), better known as Johnny Knoxville, is an American stunt performer, actor, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known as a co-creator and star of the MTV reality stunt show Jackass (2000–2001) and its subsequent movies.
Phil Clapp is a current 500m and 1minute world record holder and current world indoor rowing champion. He previously rowed on the water until he was 21 years old and returned to indoor rowing around five years ago to keep fit.
