Goodbye Stan is the seven episode of the seventh series which was first broadcast on 8th April 1973.
Following a financial crisis, Stan finds a better job at a Car factory in the Midlands, which means he will leave Luxton.

Stan takes a job in the north of England in a car factory in the "Goodbye Stan" episode, and the inspector takes Stan's old room as a lodger. Stan lands himself a job in a car factory in the North of England, which means he must give in his notice as driver for the Luxton bus company. When Blakey refuses to listen, he deliberately antagonises the inspector in order to get the sack!
