Drama of Exile is the fifth studio album by German musician Nico. The album was initially released in 1981. The album featured a Middle Eastern rhythm section and was produced by Corsican bassist Philippe Quilichini. This was Nico's only studio album which did not feature John Cale . In 1983, Nico rerecorded the album.
There were two different versions of "Drama of Exile," released by different labels under slightly different titles. This first issue, "Drama of Exile," includes the track "Purple Lips." The second issue from 1983, Nico (3) - The Drama Of Exile," excludes "Purple Lips" but adds the tracks "Saeta" and "Vegas" released on a 7" single in 1981 ...
