Dannah Phirman is an American actress, voice actress, comedienne, and singer.
She is best known today for voicing super heroine Becky Botsford/WordGirl in the title series of the same name. As the show grew popular to audiences of all ages, WordGirl went on to earn her recognition and praise for her performance and comedic timings as the character.
Phirman is also known for co-starring as Large Hemingway in Newsreaders, made by Adult Swim, and as a co-creator and co-star of the Hulu reality TV parody series The Hotwives.
Along with voicing WordGirl, she also provided the voices of the mothers of Tobey and Chuck the Evil Sandwich Making Guy, Edith von Hoosinghaus, various female police officers, and Pretty Princess in the show-within-a-show.
•In 2015, she was nominated a BTVA Television Voice Acting Award for her performance as WordGirl. It made her the second member of the show's voice cast to earn a nomination for their work on the show. The first person being Ed Asner.
•She is also the only regular member of WordGirl's voice cast to earn a nomination for a role on WordGirl.
