Lawrence Gene David (born July 2, 1947) is an American comedian, writer, actor, and television producer. [1] He and Jerry Seinfeld created the NBC television sitcom Seinfeld, of which David was head writer and executive producer for the first seven seasons.

- Curb Your Enthusiasm. Curb Your Enthusiasm is David’s latest and longest-running success. He created the series for HBO in 2000, drawing from his own experience in order to tell the story of a semi-retired TV writer and producer in Los Angeles.
- Whatever Works. Whatever Works was directed by Woody Allen, and follows a professor living in New York City named Boris Yelnikoff (David). He becomes involved with a woman, who is new to the city, named Melody (played by Evan Rachel Wood).
- Seinfeld. Seinfeld is one of the most famous credits in David’s filmography. The hit sitcom aired on NBC from 1989 to 1998, and starred David and Jerry Seinfeld as fictionalized versions of themselves.
- The Three Stooges. The Three Stooges is a 2012 Farrelly Brothers movie that follows Moe, Larry, and Curly (played by Chris Diamantopoulos, Sean Hayes, and Will Sasso, respectively), based on the infamous film shorts from the 40s and 50s that starred the eponymous trio.
Producer, writer, actor. Born July 2, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York. David attended the University of Maryland and started doing stand-up comedy in New York night clubs in 1974. In 1979, he was hired to write and perform for the comedy variety show Fridays, which was modelled after Saturday Night Live.
