Gunnar Milton Hansen (March 4, 1947 – November 7, 2015) was an Icelandic actor and author best known for playing the mentally impaired cannibal Leatherface in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974).

Biography. I was born in Reykjavik, Iceland, where I lived till I was five years old. Then my family moved to the US, to a small town on the coast of Maine, where I lived till I was eleven. From there, it was on to San Antonio, Texas, for a brief stay, and then Austin, Texas, where I went to high school and then the University of Texas.
