Named for Fort Fraser built in 1837 during the Second Seminole War, the trail follows an old CSX rail bed between Bartow and Lakeland in Polk County, Florida. The 12-foot trail is well maintained, almost totally straight with just a slight rise - easy to ride.

  8. The Fort Fraser Trail goes from Bartow to Lakeland (near Crystal Lake). It is a paved bike trail close to 8 miles one way. There are a few trailheads. I admit, I could not find the one in Bartow, but I found the Staples off of Hwy 60 in Bartow and parked in the back. The trail runs right behind it.
