May 31, 1996 · Rob Cohen's “Dragonheart” is one of the most sublimely silly movies I have ever seen. Since it combines its silliness with special effects that are, quite simply, sublime, I must resist the urge to take easy shots at it.
The last dragon and a disillusioned dragonslaying Knight must cooperate to stop an evil King, who was given partial immortality. When a young male king is torturing everyone in the kingdom, a middle-aged male soldier, a young female, and an elderly male dragon team up to put an end to the king's reign.
