10/10. Beautifully photographed and original story. swampqb 27 January 2011. Never before have I seen a movie that explores the adventures of freight train riding hobos (men and women). Great characters, scenery, twists and turns and a spectacular sound track, including Merle Haggard, Super Tramp, Doobie Bros., Ozzy Osbourne, etc., etc.
Rail Kings: Directed by Bobb Hopkins. With Ernest Borgnine, W.M. Comartin, Bobb Hopkins, Chet Hopkins. An irresponsible preppie, Preston West, is presumed to have murdered his parents for a sizable inheritance, so he flees to find the real killer, Phantom 13, a crazed freight train hobo.

Relatively boring DTV story with an undercover cop pretending to be a hobo to catch a mysterious killer, with some attempted flourishes of train hopping life. Borgnine is not a bull (railroad cop) here but instead an old hobo plopped in to appear philosophical about riding the rails.
