When Susan Warfield (Crystal Bernard) moves to Los Angeles, she becomes friends with party girl Nicole (Traci Lords). Nicole suffers from painful stomach ulcers but cannot be treated since she has no medical insurance. Susan decides to temporarily switch identities with Nicole so that her friend can use her insurance to have an operation.
