Yellowstone Kelly is a 1959 American Western film starring Clint Walker as a trapper who falls in love with an Arapaho captive. The film is based on a novel by Clay Fisher, who used the pen name Heck Allen, and was originally supposed to be directed by John Ford.
Luther Sage "Yellowstone" Kelly (July 27, 1849 – December 17, 1928) was an American soldier, hunter, scout, adventurer and administrator. He served briefly in the American Civil War and then in an 1898 expedition to Alaska.
