In 1970s Oregon, a young girl encounters a pale-faced man who ominously mentions her upcoming birthday. Decades later, FBI agent Lee Harker, suspected of clairvoyance, investigates a series of family murder-suicides in Oregon linked by cryptic letters signed "Longlegs." Each crime involves families with a 9-year-old daughter born on the 14th.
