The Official Website of The Tank, an NYC-based non-profit arts presenter and producer. Our mission is to remove economic barriers from the creation of new work for artists launching their careers and experimenting within their art form, and to do so in an environment that is inclusive and accessible.
*Please note that this performance will be presented at the Tank's in-person performance space at 312 W 36th St. All attendees and artists will be required to have a covid vaccination before being admitted to the space. Patrons will also be required to wear masks, when not eating or drinking.
The Tank supports a dynamic, innovative theater season each year. We serve companies and solo artists whether they’re creating new devised work, puppetry, clowning, physical theater, new plays, new productions of classical plays, or works in development.
Founded in 2003, The Tank is a multi-disciplinary non-profit arts presenter and producer, which provides a home to emerging artists working across all disciplines, including theater, comedy, dance, film, music, puppetry, and storytelling.
Please note that to reach The Tank, you must enter the glass double doors that lead to the atrium and take the elevator around the corner to the left (not the one immediately in front of you) to Floor M. The elevator will open 30 minutes prior to showtime (e.g., at 6:30 pm for a 7:00 pm show).
The Tank is a nonprofit off-off-Broadway performance venue and producer in Manhattan, New York. The organization was founded in May 2003 by a group of young artists and has since moved several times, residing on 36th Street as of 2017.
She created and produced the Tank’s unique xyz nyc series, which brings new, emerging, and established artists together in the same evening in a grand competition that's all in good fun; and curates the (kin)aesthetics series, which features sophisticated, fully realized evening-length dance pieces by new and emerging artists.
