RWS RAB (Berlin) (1825-1899) Godalming Museum has acquired a watercolour by Myles Birket Foster, one of the most popular Victorian artists. Birket Foster, lived in Witley for thirty years, taking inspiration for many of his paintings from the Surrey countryside. The painting may now be viewed in the Gertrude Jekyll room of the Museum.

Galleries & Displays. The galleries and displays cover Godalming’s history all the way from the stone age to present day, and are spread across two (and a half) floors of our historic building. The Arts & Crafts Gallery looks at the work of Gertrude Jekyll and Edwin Lutyens and includes a suffrage banner designed by Jekyll herself.
