Margrethe P. Rask (1930 – 12 December 1977), better known as Grethe Rask, was a Danish physician and surgeon in Zaïre (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo). After setting up her own hospital in the village of Abumombazi in 1972, she transferred to Danish Red Cross Hospital in Kinshasa in 1975.
Doctor Margrethe Rask, called "Grethe" daily, departed from a Danish small town and went out into Zaire's rainforest to a mission hospital. Later she was a surgeon on Denmark's first development project, a hospital in the capital Kinshasa.

She was one of the first non-African patients (like Arvid Noe) to succumb to the consequences of AIDS. It seems that Dr. Rask showed symptoms of HIV at the end of 1974, e.g., fever, diarrhea, swollen lymph nodes, weight loss, and fatigue.
