Kristian "Kris" Weston (a.k.a. Thrash) (born 1972) is a British electronic musician, record producer and remixer best known for his work as a member of The Orb. Around the beginning of his career, he worked with Andrew Weatherall on remixes of Meat Beat Manifesto, remixed for Primal Scream, Saint Etienne, U2 and others.
As a member of The Orb from 1991 – 95, Kris Weston had a hand in the majority of the bands greatest output, including producing perhaps their best known track, Little Fluffy Clouds. After an acrimonious split in the mid 90s, he has long kept silent on his reasons for leaving the band. Not any more.

Jun 30, 2014 · Kris Weston, former member of The Orb, has written a fascinating blog about The Orb, his former bandmates, and some of the shady goings-on over the last 20 years which he feels has been a history re-write.
His partner, Kris 'Thrash' Weston, was busy mixing a spacey dub track called 'Plateau' and experimenting with a customised Westward Electronics MIDI controlled filter system. Both men were considering making an album to rival Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon, to be titled 'The Seven Wonders Of The World'.

The Orb was now officially Paterson, engineer chum Kristian Weston (aka Thrash), and Steve Hillage (ex-Gong guitarist, and leading light of System 7). If Hillage added some great sounds to Adventures, it was his playing on the 1992 'Blue Room' single that did the trick.
