May 21, 2019 · The Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall is a shrine to the Republic of China’s National Father, Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Completed in 1972, it features a large auditorium and four floors of galleries and exhibition rooms, including one detailing the life of Dr. Sun.
Designed by local architect Wang Da-hung, this memorial hall was established in memory of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the father of the Republic of China. The hall also serves an educational and research role, hosting various cultural and art events throughout the year, including the Golden Horse Awards, Golden Bell Awards, and Culture Awards.
The Beauty of the Historic Building. National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall completed in 1972 is designed by the famous architect in Taiwan, Mr. Wang Da-hung, and designated as the municipal historic building by Department of Cultural Affairs, Taipei City Government, on May 3, 2019.

The memorial hall was built to commemorate the great founding father of R.O.C., Dr. Sun Yat-sen and was built on the 100th birthday of Dr. Sun. The building is inspired by structure of Chinese palace.
