Codenames is a game played by 4 or more players in which players are split into two teams, red and blue, and guess words based on clues from their teammates. [3] One player from each team becomes the spymaster, while the others play as field operatives. [4] The end goal is to place all of the team’s agent tiles.
Each team chooses one player to be their spymaster. Both spymasters sit on the same side of the table. The other players sit across from their spymasters. They are field operatives. Randomly choose 25 codenames and place them on the table in a 5-by-5 grid.
Oct 22, 2023 · The goal of “Codenames” is to correctly identify all of your team’s words from the grid of words on the table, based on a one-word clue given by your team’s spymaster. The first team to identify all their words or the team that identifies the assassin word loses the game.

In Codenames, two teams compete to see who can make contact with all of their agents first. Lay out 25 cards, each bearing a single word. The spymasters look at a card showing the identity of each card, then take turns clueing their teammates.
