The Shield is an American crime drama television series starring Michael Chiklis that premiered on March 12, 2002, on FX in the United States, and concluded on November 25, 2008, after seven seasons.
With Michael Chiklis, Michael Jace, Jay Karnes, CCH Pounder. Follows a gang of corrupt Los Angels Police Department (LAPD) cops called The Strike Team, who uses illegal methods to maintain law and order, whilst engaging in a series of undercover dealings secretly in order to get rich.
Vic and the Strike Team discover visiting NBA superstar Derrick Tripp hanging out with his "homies" before the evening game with the Lakers. Vic decides to do his part for the home team by keeping Tripp as a "friendly hostage".
