When Sheneneh wins a date with Christopher "Kid" Reid on Martin's radio show, Martin soon fears that Kid's career is over. Kid arrives at Sheneneh's apartment and learns that she is his biggest fan. •Sheneneh asks Christopher Reid, "Would you kiss me? Just like you did to that lil' light-skinned girl in the movie House Party (1990)?" This is a reference to the fact that Tisha Campbell-Martin (Martin's girlfriend on the show) is the girl that Kid kissed on "House Party". •Tisha Campbell, Martin Lawrence, and Christopher Reid starred together in House Party 1 and 2. •When Gina confronts Kid about his attitude, she said "you are really a Class Act" which was a film in the same year with Kid.
