Jill reads The Guest Book, but the story is told to her priest in a confessional.This is the first time Arlo and Woodyappear in the intro as a recap.As in each episode except the pilot, a item or mention of a previous episodes instances. This episode has the owl tapestry being questioned by Jeff about what it is supposed to be, after Timused it...Officer Kimberly Leahy (Kellie Martin) is the local sheriff. The renters have crazy adventures and write them down in the guest book. In the second season, Vivian hitches a run with Eddie on his way out of town. They find themselves involved with a different rental house and another guest book.
