Little Falls is a city in Herkimer County, New York, United States. The population was 4,946 at the time of the 2010 census, which is the second-smallest city population in the state, ahead of only the city of Sherrill. Map.

Little Falls has a picturesque location on the slope of a narrow and rocky defile, flowing through which the river falls 45 feet (13 m) in less than a mile (1.6 km), forming a number of cascades. Nearby cities include Frankfort, Newport, Fort Plain, Richfield Springs, Nelliston.
