Dickinson is a city in and the county seat of Stark County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 25,679 at the 2020 census, and was estimated to be 24,979 in 2022, making it the 7th most populous city in North Dakota.
Dickinson is considered the gateway to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park and its many recreational opportunities. However, Dickinson itself is a city of fun-filled attractions and popular annual festivals and has a downtown that comes alive with outdoor summer concerts and street fairs.

Nov 1, 2016 · As we researched destinations for our August 2015 vacation, we knew we would spend an overnight in Dickinson ND. As we looked at things to do, we put this Dakota Dinosaur Museum on our list, and we are very glad we did.
