Donald Daniel Brinkley entered the world on July 19, 1932 as the son of sharecroppers, Daniel and Jesse Pearl Brinkley, in Monticello, Arkansas. Don’s father passed away in a tragic bus accident when Don was 8 years old and he had to quickly grow up.
