Hugo Wallace Weaving is an English film and stage actor, residing in Australia.
He played the role of the Elf-lord Elrond of Rivendell in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy (2001 - 2003) and later The Hobbit film trilogy (2012 - 2014). He accordingly played the same role in Electronic Arts' strategy game The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II, released in 2006.
