May 28, 2024 · The ATLAH Family and Dr. Manning have always welcomed LGBTQ members to our love and church membership. We biblically require they “come and sin no more.” We model our beliefs and love after the Words of Jesus when He lovingly forgave a woman caught in adultery about to be stoned according to the law.
The Beginning. The Christ Our Redeemer A.M.E. Church (CORAMEC) story began in September 1996 when Bishop Vinton R. Anderson, per the recommendation of Presiding Elder George A. Manning of the Potomac District, informed Rev. Abraham Smith, Jr. of his desire to have him start a mission church in the Northeast section of Washington, DC.
