The eighteenth season of the legal drama series Law & Order premiered on NBC on January 21, 2008 and concluded on May 21, 2008. The season consists of 18 episodes, shortened from its initial order of 22 due to the 2007 Writers Guild of America strike.
This season aired alongside with season 9 of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and season 7 of Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
This is the first season to feature Jeremy Sisto as Cyrus Lupo (replacing Milena Govich as Nina Cassady). Jesse L. Martin as Ed Green departs from the series after the episode "Burn Card", although Anthony Anderson as Kevin Bernard, in the same episode, was then added to the cast (later joins the semi regular in episode "Bogeyman").
