The Red Serge refers to the jacket of the dress uniform of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. It consists of a scarlet British-style military pattern tunic, complete with a high-neck collar and blue breeches with yellow stripe identifying a cavalry history. Constables and non-commissioned officers.
Dress code. Weekdays (07:30–16:30) Working uniform or civilian business attire. Civilian business attire. Men. Dress pants, shirt (long/short sleeved) and tie, with or without a blazer, sport jacket or suit jacket. Women. Suit, dress, skirt or dress pants, blouse, turtleneck or sweater. Weeknights and weekends.
