Officer III+1 Dominique Luca is a third-generation S.W.A.T. officer and third-in-command of Hondo's team; his grandfather was on one of the LAPD's first S.W.A.T. Teams in the 1970s. He is portrayed by Kenny Johnson. Luca drives S.W.A.T.'s primary transport truck, affectionately called "Black Betty."

Jay Harrington plays Officer Deacon Kay, [35] Alex Russell is James "Jim" Street, [36] and finally, Peter Onorati was cast as Jeff Mumford. [37] On September 21, 2017, David Lim was cast in the role of Hondo's new co-member Victor Tan and was later promoted to series regular status for first season. [38]
