Research over the past several years has shown that on campus housing can enhance the college experience and success rates for students, especially students entering or in their freshman year. Texas Southern University requires that all freshmen students reside in On-Campus housing.
Q: What do I need to apply for housing? A: To begin the housing process for the 2023-2024 academic year an online housing application and a $200 administrative fee payment is REQUIRED ( This fee is NON-REFUNDABLE ).
To process applications expeditiously, students must request and submit the appropriate application for the type of accommodation desired. To begin the housing reservation process, a student will submit an electronic housing application via the TSU Housing website at www.tsu.edu/housing.
Housing Application Steps: Step 1: Complete the housing application. Step 2: After 72 hours, log into your MY TSU portal and pay the $200.00 non refundable Administrative Fee. Step 3: Further instructions will be sent to student's email after lease agreement has been signed.
