The Astrophysics Data System (ADS) is a Digital Library portal for researchers in Astronomy and Physics, operated by the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) under a NASA grant. The ADS maintains three bibliographic databases covering publications in Astronomy and Astrophysics, Physics, and the arXiv e-prints.
The largest portion of our collection consists of the resources required for student and faculty research. This represents over 1.5 million digital and print books, thousands of scholarly journal titles, hundreds of databases, and a growing pool of streaming media.
