- Acne. Commonly located on the face, neck, shoulders, chest, and upper back. Breakouts on the skin composed of blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, or deep, painful cysts and nodules.
- Cold sore. Red, painful, fluid-filled blister that appears near the mouth and lips. Affected area will often tingle or burn before the sore is visible.
- Corns and calluses. Small, round circles of thickened skin with a painful, horn-like central area of hardened tissue. Commonly found on the tops and sides of toes and on the soles of the feet.
- Skin tags. Skin growth that can become up to half an inch long. Same color as your skin or slightly darker. Most likely caused by friction.
- Keloids. A keloid is a bump of scar tissue that grows past a wound’s bounds. It may keep growing weeks after your skin heals. More common in dark skin, keloids can form anywhere, but often they’re on earlobes, shoulders, the upper back, chest, or cheeks.
- Skin Tags. Skin tags are little growths of skin with a bulge at the end. They usually form in places where your skin rubs together, like your neck, armpits, or groin.
- Skin Cysts. These small, flesh-colored sacs under your skin are filled with keratin -- a soft, cheese-like protein. The slow-growing bumps form when a hair follicle or oil gland is blocked or damaged.
- Hives. There are a lot of things that can cause these itchy, swollen welts -- an allergy, infection, sun, exercise, stress, or an illness. The bumps vary in size and can merge to form larger ones.
